K-pop group BTS will stage a free live concert on 3/21 at 8:00 p.m. local time to mark the release of its fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, with ticket reservations opening later this month.
According to an announcement posted on the fan platform Weverse at 12:00 a.m. on 2/9, ticketing for the event, titled “BTS The Comeback Live | ARIRANG,” will begin on 2/23.
Ticket access will be divided into two categories: general free admission and a global lottery for paid members of BTS’s official fan club, known as ARMY.
General admission tickets will be available starting 2/23 at 8:00 p.m. local time through the ticketing platform NOL, with no eligibility requirements. Detailed reservation instructions will be released on 2/20 at 12:00 p.m. local time via Weverse and NOL.
The Weverse global lottery will be open to ARMY membership holders who purchase the new album during the designated application period, with winners selected through a random draw. Further details will be announced on 2/10, according to the agency.
BigHit Music, BTS’s management company, said the free concert is intended to give the public broader access to music and culture. “As this is a free performance, it is expected to provide people with a natural opportunity to engage with music and culture in their daily lives,” the company said.
The concert will also be livestreamed globally in more than 190 countries and regions via Netflix, marking the first time the streaming platform has broadcast a live concert by a single artist.
BTS is scheduled to release ARIRANG on 3/20, one day ahead of the concert. From the album’s release date through 4/12, a series of offline promotional events titled “BTS The City ARIRANG Seoul” will be held across various locations in the South Korean capital.
