K-pop group Stray Kids and BLACKPINK member Jennie have been named headliners for the 2026 Governors Ball Music Festival, marking another high-profile expansion of Korean pop acts into major U.S. music festivals.
Festival organizers announced the full lineup on Tuesday via official social media channels. Stray Kids will headline the June 6 performance, while Jennie is set to close the festival as the June 7 headliner.
Held annually in New York City, the Governors Ball is one of the largest outdoor music festivals in the U.S., traditionally featuring top-tier global artists. Past headliners include Eminem, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo and Tyler, the Creator.
This year’s event will take place from June 5 to June 7 at Flushing Meadows–Corona Park in Queens. HYBE’s U.S.–Korea joint venture girl group KATSEYE is scheduled to perform on the opening day.
The inclusion of Stray Kids and Jennie as headliners underscores the growing commercial and cultural influence of K-pop in the American live-music market, where Korean artists are increasingly positioned alongside mainstream Western acts rather than in niche or genre-specific roles.
Festival organizers have not disclosed expected attendance figures, though the event typically draws tens of thousands of concertgoers over its three-day run.
