As BLACKPINK’s third Tokyo Dome concert series approaches, Japan is kicking off large-scale welcome events that are turning major city landmarks pink. A nationwide “Pink Light-Up” campaign, along with expansive pop-up collaborations, is building momentum ahead of the group’s return to one of Japan’s biggest venues.
YG Entertainment announced Monday that BLACKPINK has begun a special lighting collaboration with Kobe Port Tower, running through January 18, 2026. The project celebrates the group’s upcoming Tokyo Dome concerts, scheduled for January 16–18, and will expand to multiple towers across Japan over the coming weeks.
In Kobe—the first stop of the campaign—the Port Tower and surrounding waterfront district are being transformed into a full “BLACKPINK zone.” Five key sites around the tower, along with nearby transportation and visitor facilities, are participating in the citywide activation.
A new rooftop photo installation on the tower’s fifth-floor observation deck features a sequence of BLACKPINK visuals arranged along the visitor path, allowing fans to capture a continuous, film-strip-style photo series as they walk through. Inside the tower, fan-oriented attractions include a photo exhibition from the group’s global tour, a collaboration café inspired by BLACKPINK’s signature colors, and exclusive merchandise—drawing large crowds on opening day.
Hype for the Tokyo Dome concerts is also building nationwide. This will mark BLACKPINK’s third solo performance at the venue—following shows in 2019 and 2023—and their first Japan-exclusive concert in nearly three years. Ahead of the event, major department stores and shopping malls across Japan have launched a relay of pop-up stores celebrating the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR DEADLINE,” alongside a national rollout of tour-themed pop-ups at LOFT retail locations.
BLACKPINK is currently performing the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR DEADLINE,” a 33-show, 16-city global tour. The group opened the tour in July at Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea, followed by successful North American and European legs, and is now connecting with fans across Asia.
