Paris Baguette, the French-inspired bakery café chain owned by South Korea’s SPC Group, is accelerating its expansion across North America, underscoring its resilience amid a slowing food service market. The company has opened or signed contracts for roughly 285 new stores so far this year, while achieving its 19th consecutive quarter of revenue growth.

According to Paris Baguette America, the chain has signed more than 225 new franchise agreements and secured over 65 lease contracts in 2024. About 70 new stores opened during the third quarter alone, including the brand’s 250th U.S. location in Frederick, Maryland.

Key performance indicators continue to move upward. Store traffic has increased for 18 consecutive quarters, and membership in the company’s PB Rewards loyalty program has surpassed 1.2 million, up 60% from the beginning of the year. Executives attribute this momentum to strong brand recognition and growing consumer demand across multiple regions.

Paris Baguette’s visibility in the U.S. market has also strengthened. The brand ranked 94th among the world’s top 1,500 restaurant chains, according to industry tracker Technomic, and 42nd on the Franchise Times Top 400 list.

To support its rapid growth, SPC Group is investing heavily in production infrastructure. In February, the company broke ground on a $160 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. Scheduled for completion in 2027, the plant is expected to serve as a key supply hub for the brand’s expanding North American network.

“This isn’t just about building a factory — it’s about creating the foundation for our future in North America,” said Darren Tipton, CEO of Paris Baguette America. “We’re modernizing our production and logistics systems to ensure our franchisees can deliver freshly baked products every day.”

Looking ahead, Paris Baguette aims to open 1,000 stores in the U.S. and 100 in Canada by 2030, focusing on expansion in the Southeast and Midwest, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

Globally, Paris Baguette operates more than 4,000 locations, with over 260 stores now open across North America since launching its first franchise there in 2015.
