Lotte Mart, a leading South Korean hypermarket chain, has been recognized as one of Vietnam’s Top 10 Most Reputable Brands for the seventh consecutive year, reaffirming its strong local presence and commitment to sustainable business practices.
South Korea’s retail giant Lotte Mart has once again secured a spot on Vietnam’s “Top 10 Famous Brands of 2025,” according to the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association. The award is based on factors including product and service competitiveness, eco-friendliness, innovation, and consumer trust.
In addition to this recognition, Lotte Mart was also named a “2025 Innovation Leader in Vietnam,” reflecting its strategic leadership in the local retail sector.
Since entering the Vietnamese market in 2008 with its first store in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City, Lotte Mart has expanded to operate 15 branches across major cities including Hanoi, Danang, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Can Tho, and Binh Duong. These modern retail complexes attract over 20 million visitors annually, serving as both cultural and shopping destinations.
Adapting to the digital age, Lotte Mart has implemented a multichannel retail strategy. Customers can access more than 30,000 daily-use products not only in physical stores but also through its mobile app and official website.
Beyond retail, Lotte Mart emphasizes environmental sustainability and community engagement. Its “Small Action, Big Change” campaign encourages reusable shopping bags and offers point incentives to reduce single-use plastic. The company has also expanded the use of mobile e-receipts as part of its green operations.
Lotte Mart’s social contribution initiatives remain strong. During the COVID-19 pandemic, it donated $288,475 to hospitals and communities across Vietnam. In 2024, it provided $115,390 for typhoon recovery efforts. Every Lunar New Year, the company distributes 17.6 short tons of rice to low-income households in 10 regions.
Looking ahead, Lotte Mart aims to build on the trust of Vietnamese consumers by continuing its focus on retail innovation, ESG practices, and social responsibility. Its local office stated, “We will keep working to provide high-quality products at affordable prices for our customers in Vietnam.”
